Tapioca plates to hit market soon

A new environmentally-friendly product based
on a patented natural polymer technology that uses tapioca starch
will soon hit the Malaysian market.
This revolutionary product is made by Natures
Harmony Industries Sdn Bhd (NHI).
Mohan Krishnan, managing director of NHI said:“ We want
to produce disposable food containers such as plates, cups. Bowls,
trays and burger boxes.”
The product range includes customised packaging
for items such as mobile phones, watches, electric and electronic
devices and computer parts.
NHI director R. Meyyanathan said: “We are opening a plant
in Kedah to manufacture the products.”
The inventor of the revolutionary product,
Liew Tseh Hua, who is also an NHI director, said he spent 10 years
doing research on the tapioca-based products.
